  • Free donation testing is available to eligible donors at participating centers: one available donation panel or up to two eligible individual tests. Donation panels are more limited than paid panels.
  • No* means that we could not find any public documentation of these features as of 2026-10-26.
  • Goodlabs paid draws are not available in Hawaii, Rhode Island, or U.S. territories. Test and location availability vary; find a donation center for the separate donation pathway.
  • Superpower's 100+ count includes calculated ratios, such as the TyG index and the Bilirubin-to-Albumin Ratio, which its biomarker page labels "Derived Biomarker." Function Health challenged this count in a 2026 lawsuit that the parties settled; the court dismissed the case without ruling on the claims (see below). Prices checked 2026-10-26: $199 a year, or $399 in New York and New Jersey, on Superpower's baseline panel page.

Goodlabs gives you two ways to get bloodwork, and neither needs a membership. Donate blood at a partner blood center and get your chosen tests run from the same visit for free, or buy only the tests you want and get them drawn at a partner lab. Superpower sells a $199-a-year membership ($399 in New York and New Jersey) built around a 100+ biomarker blood panel, a personalized plan, Superpower AI, and a care team you can message. Regardless of if you order tests with Goodlabs, you can access free tools to monitor your results. You can even upload bloodwork from outside of Goodlabs into the platform.

At Goodlabs, you can:

  • Donate blood for free testing. Choose from the tests available with an eligible donation.
  • Buy the tests you want. Start with individual tests, a Goodlabs-made panel, or a custom panel.
  • Get free help with your results. Track changes over time and ask Barry what your numbers mean.

Superpower bundles a baseline panel and ongoing support. Goodlabs offers a la carte donation testing and a la carte paid testing as two paths.

Goodlabs offers two testing paths. Superpower starts with a baseline panel.

Superpower's $199-a-year membership includes its “100+ biomarker” blood panel. In New York and New Jersey, it's $399 a year, and members can add other tests at member prices. With Goodlabs, you choose between donation testing and paid testing from the start, and you can order a single test without a membership.

Free testing through donation

Book a donation through Goodlabs at a partner blood center. Today that means select Vitalant, Inova, Blood Assurance, Bloodworks Northwest, and LifeStream locations. The tubes for your tests are drawn during the same donation, so there is no second appointment or second needle. Your blood goes to patients who need it, and your results go to your Goodlabs account.

Eligible donors choose one donation panel or up to two eligible individual tests, at no cost. The blood center pays Goodlabs a referral fee for each completed donation, and that fee covers your testing. Donation panels include fewer tests than the paid versions, and the center decides who can donate that day. You can get free testing every 56 days at most partner centers, or twice a year at Blood Assurance.

Buy directly from Goodlabs

Pick individual tests, a Goodlabs-made panel, or your own custom panel. You pay for the tests you choose plus a draw fee per visit, with the full total shown before checkout. You don't need a doctor's visit or insurance. Your blood is drawn at a partner lab: Quest, Labcorp, or BioReference (BioReference in New York and New Jersey).

For a broad paid option, view our Superpower comparison panel and its included tests, currently $125 plus a draw fee.

Barry can help you choose tests, put together a panel, find available appointments, and book at participating locations.

What a biomarker count includes

Biomarker counts aren't all built the same way. Some biomarkers are measured directly by the lab, and some are calculated from other results. Superpower's biomarker page labels 34 of its baseline entries "Derived Biomarker," including the Bilirubin-to-Albumin Ratio, the hsCRP-to-Albumin Ratio (CAR), and the GGT-to-HDL Cholesterol Ratio. Derived entries such as the GGT-to-HDL Cholesterol Ratio carry this note on Superpower's page: "Method: Derived from FDA-cleared laboratory results. This ratio/index is not an FDA-cleared test. It aids clinician-directed risk assessment and monitoring and is not a stand-alone diagnosis."

How these counts are built has come up in industry coverage, and Function Health raised it in court. In January 2026, Function sued Superpower, alleging that its "100+ biomarkers" claim was misleading because many of those biomarkers are calculated from other results. The parties settled in June 2026, and the court dismissed the case without ruling on the claims. The terms aren't public. Separately, some Reddit users have pushed back on Superpower's marketing.

Whichever service you use, ask how many of its biomarkers are measured directly and how many are calculated. With Goodlabs, you pick individual tests, and each test listing shows the biomarkers it measures before you buy.
