Lymphocytes Percentage indicates the proportion of lymphocytes (including T cells, B cells, NK cells) in the WBC differential. Lymphocytes are crucial for adaptive immunity (T and B cells) and fighting viral infections and cancers (NK cells, cytotoxic T cells). Increased percentage (relative lymphocytosis) is common in viral infections, while decreased percentage (relative lymphopenia) can occur with acute bacterial infections or stress.
