What is HDL-P (Total)?

Total HDL Particle Number (HDL-P) measures the concentration (number) of HDL particles in the blood. Similar to Apo A-I, it reflects the quantity of HDL particles available for reverse cholesterol transport. Higher HDL-P is generally associated with lower cardiovascular risk, providing a different perspective than HDL-C (cholesterol content).
