Learn what LDL Particle Number measures and how it fits into your health data.

What is LDL Particle Number?

LDL Particle Number (LDL-P) directly quantifies the concentration (number) of LDL particles circulating in the blood. Like ApoB, this is considered a key driver of atherosclerosis, as risk is more closely related to the number of particles available to penetrate the arterial wall than the total cholesterol they carry. Lowering LDL-P is a primary goal for cardiovascular risk reduction in longevity-focused strategies. Ranges assume no underlying medical conditions such as prior heart disease.
