What is VLDL Size?

Average VLDL size (nm or Å) indicates the typical diameter of VLDL particles. Larger VLDL particles are usually present when triglycerides are very high. While not a primary target itself, VLDL size can reflect the severity of hypertriglyceridemia and related metabolic disturbances. Smaller average size might be seen when TGs are better controlled.
