What is Triglyceride/HDL Ratio?

Triglyceride to HDL-C Ratio (TG/HDL) is a strong indicator of insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, and cardiovascular risk, particularly the presence of small, dense LDL particles. A lower ratio is highly desirable. Longevity experts often target a ratio below 2, ideally below 1.5 or even 1, as a sign of good metabolic health and lower atherogenic risk. Note: Accuracy depends on using fasted triglyceride values.
