What is Tissue Transglutaminase Ab, IgG?
IgG antibodies against tissue transglutaminase (tTG) are less specific for celiac disease but serve as an essential marker for individuals with IgA deficiency, who cannot produce IgA antibodies. In IgA-deficient patients with suspected celiac disease, a positive tTG-IgG result is highly indicative of the condition. It can also be used to monitor dietary adherence in these patients.
