HOMA2-%B

HOMA2-%B (Homeostatic Model Assessment 2 – Beta-cell Function) estimates fasting pancreatic beta-cell function from fasting glucose and insulin using the updated HOMA2 model. It reflects how much insulin beta cells are secreting relative to the fasting glucose level. Low values suggest reduced insulin secretion, which may indicate impaired beta-cell function. Higher values suggest increased insulin secretion, often as a compensatory response to insulin resistance.
