What is Celiac Panel?

Celiac Disease Comprehensive Panel typically includes tests for antibodies associated with celiac disease, an autoimmune disorder triggered by gluten. Common components are anti-tissue transglutaminase (tTG) IgA, anti-endomysial (EMA) IgA, and potentially anti-deamidated gliadin peptide (DGP) IgG/IgA, along with total serum IgA to check for deficiency. Positive results strongly suggest celiac disease, requiring confirmation often via intestinal biopsy.
