Learn what Campesterol measures and how it fits into your health data.

What is Campesterol?

Campesterol is another plant sterol absorbed from the diet. Similar to Sitosterol, elevated absolute blood levels (e.g., ug/mL or mg/L) suggest higher efficiency of intestinal cholesterol absorption. Assessing both Campesterol and Sitosterol provides a picture of how effectively an individual absorbs cholesterol from dietary sources. Ensure you are inputting the absolute value (e.g., ug/mL or mg/L), not a ratio relative to total cholesterol.
