Learn what C3 Complement measures and how it fits into your health data.

What is C3 Complement?

C3 Complement Component is the most abundant complement protein and central to all complement activation pathways. Similar to C4, low C3 levels can signify complement consumption due to activation, commonly observed in active SLE (especially nephritis), certain kidney diseases (like MPGN), and post-infectious glomerulonephritis. Monitoring C3 and C4 levels helps assess disease activity in some conditions.
