Anti-dsDNA

Anti-double stranded DNA (Anti-dsDNA) antibodies are autoantibodies highly specific for Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), particularly associated with lupus nephritis (kidney involvement). While not present in all SLE patients, their detection strongly supports the diagnosis, and levels can sometimes correlate with disease activity.
