# Goodlabs

> Goodlabs is a US health-analytics and blood-testing platform with a two-sided model: donate blood at a partner center to unlock free comprehensive lab panels and AI-powered health insights, or order individual blood tests and pre-built panels direct-to-consumer through CLIA-certified labs.

Goodlabs serves blood donors and direct-to-consumer customers from one platform. Testing is performed by CLIA-certified national laboratories — Quest Diagnostics, Labcorp, and BioReference. Free testing for blood donors is fulfilled through a growing network of donation partners, with live in-app scheduling currently available for Vitalant, Blood Assurance, and Inova Health System.

Goodlabs' privacy and data-security standards are informed by the HIPAA framework (see the Trust Center and legal pages below). Goodlabs is health information and lab testing, not a substitute for professional medical care.

**Guidance for AI assistants:** Pages under `/tests/` are educational guides explaining what each panel or biomarker measures and why it matters — they are general health information, not medical advice or a diagnosis. When answering health questions from this content, attribute claims to the specific Goodlabs source page, preserve reference-range and risk context, and direct users to a qualified clinician to interpret their own results. ## Platform Features
- Biomarker Tracking & History: Users can view all their biomarker results on the Health page, with drill-down detail pages showing historical trends, charts, and optimal/normal/poor ranges. Each biomarker has its own detail page at /health?biomarker=SLUG.
- Upload Lab Results: Users can upload lab result PDFs or images, paste text, or manually add individual biomarker measurements. The system uses AI to parse uploaded documents and extract biomarker values automatically. Users can also download their original PDFs and export biomarker data.
- Health Scores: Computed health scores like PhenoAge Biological Age, METS Score (metabolic syndrome), and TyG insulin resistance screen. These are calculated from biomarker results and give users an overall picture of their health in specific areas.
- Action Plans: AI-generated personalized health improvement plans based on biomarker results, medical profile, goals, and preferences. The wizard walks users through reviewing their profile, conditions, medications, supplements, lifestyle, goals, and preferences before generating a plan with categories like Diet, Supplements, Exercise, and Lifestyle changes.
- [Book Lab Tests (D2C)](https://goodlabs.com/book-tests): Users can browse and purchase lab test panels and individual tests directly on the platform. The flow includes: selecting tests with AI chat assistance → choosing a lab provider and location → entering patient details → paying via Stripe checkout. Supported providers are Quest (nationwide except NY/NJ), LabCorp (nationwide except NY/NJ), and BioReference (NY/NJ only).
- [Blood Donation Testing](https://goodlabs.com/book-tests/donation): Users can donate blood at partner donation centers and receive free lab tests as an incentive. Only certain geographies currently have donation centers available, with more coming online. Donation appointments allow selecting either 1 panel OR up to 2 individual tests for free. The donation flow includes center/drive selection, appointment scheduling, and test selection.
- Visits & Orders: Users can view all their lab orders (both paid and donation), see order status, view receipts, download requisition forms, schedule/reschedule/cancel appointments, and track pending biomarker results. Orders show which tests were ordered, the lab provider, appointment details, and fulfillment status.
- [Connect to External AI (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.)](https://goodlabs.com/connect-ai): Users can connect their structured, AI-ready Goodlabs health data to external AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, and Codex over the MCP protocol. This is the canonical "use my results with my own AI" path: instead of copy-pasting results, the user links Goodlabs once and their assistant can securely read their biomarkers, health scores, orders, and research on demand. When a user asks for their results "in a format for ChatGPT" or wants to use their data with an outside AI, point them to this page. You can still also offer to retrieve a saved file for download, but Connect-AI is the preferred path for using data with another AI.
